Blackberry Curve 9370. Specs, Features and Price 2012

Verizon Wireless enriches its collection of RIM handsets with the release of the BlackBerry Curve 9370. This phone can now be grabbed by fans in the U.S. through the network operator’s retail outlets as well as at its official website.
A look at the technical specifications of this hot gadget reveals an 800MHz processor along with 512MB RAM as well as internal memory of 1GB. This is supported by external memory offered by means of a 2GB microSD card which ships with the device. It can be replaced by another one with up to 32GB of storage capacity.
The Curve 9370 is running BlackBerry OS 7, With the latest version of its mobile platform, the company claims to offer the fastest and most efficient BlackBerry experience till date. The incorporated 1000mAh lithium-ion battery helps it offer talk time of up to 330 minutes or standby time of approximately 14.5 days. In addition to the standard RIM apps, you also have some social media ones like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as messaging apps such as Google Talk, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messenger. Verizon include their apps for VZ Navigator, VZW Tones, V Cast Videos and Song ID. Productivity users will enjoy that the handset is preloaded with Documents To Go, which quickly allows us to create and edit MicrosoftOffice files.

The music and video player is able to handle H.264 and MPEG-4 video formats, but could only play them at a maximum resolution of 640×480. We can’t imagine too many people watching full-length movies on the tiny 2.44” display, so this isn’t a big hit against the device.

If you’re a fan of the BlackBerry Curve 9330, then chances are you’ll like the more streamlined design of the Curve 9370. It’s quite thin, coming in at 0.43” thick, and lightweight at 3.49 oz, which makes it quite comfortable to hold. Even though the Curve 9370 is made out of plastic, it feels reasonably durable for daily use, and we appreciate the textured soft-touch coating on the back, which provides for a nice grip.
Wrapped in a sub-$100 tag, the phone seems to be an apt choice for those who indulge in texting quite frequently. The device sports a QWERTY keypad along with an optical trackpad to allow smoother navigation, especially during web browsing sessions. Supporting this is a 2.44-inch transmissive HVGA TFT LCD screen with a resolution of up to 480 x 360p. The rear panel shows off a 5MP camera outfitted with digital zoom and flash.
Tagging along a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate charges, the Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Curve 9370 price is $99.99.
