Orange Monte Carlo Review

Orange have released another device named after an exotic location following on from the Orange San Francisco and the Orange Barcelona.

In this case the stakes have been upped with the Monte Carlo now featuring a huge 4.3″ screen along with an 800MHz processor. However unlike the original San Francisco with its OLED display, the Monte Carlo makes do with an LCD. Likewise, the processor is still an ARMv6 rather than the newer v7 variety which features in higher end handsets.

The Orange Monte Carlo features:

• 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen (480 x 800 pixels)
• 800MHz processor
• Android OS v2.3 (Gingerbread)
• 5MP camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with autofocus, LED flash
• 512 MB RAM, microSD support (up to 32GB)
• The Monte Carlo is available for purchase for £149 for an unlocked device, or on a contract starting at £20 per month.
